hello,
If you connect to our "Cider Press" server (in the Computer Science zone), mount the "Public" volume and look in the "Launchables" folder you will find a "MetroWerks" folder. It even contains sub-folders with names like "Put in Extensions" to help you get it installed after you download it.
i've found it. it's too huge for my hard drive at the moment. i know that it's not good, or at least that it will be very slow, to run it through the network --- but is it safe? or am i just going to have to trek to bronfman?
I don't know that running it over the network will work, but it should be safe. There is stuff in the folder for Metrowerks that you don't absolutely need. It will take a while, but we will try to build a minimal version of Metrowerks and make it available.
Regarding the first applet:
is metrowerks anywhere on the cs server for us to download?
thanks,
kate

MetroWerks (as some people noticed in lab) is fairly complex and somewhat finicky. Let me know if you have problems getting it to work.

At the very end of the lab, it suggests we add color, fill the rectangle, etc., I tried to do this and it didn't work! My java program was exactly like the given lab examples but the program did not acknowledge the color commands. I did this on Thursday night and the TA's were very helpful but even they could not figure out why the color commands weren't working. So... my applet is still black + white. What's going on?
