Jeannie received her Ph.D. from the University of California, San
Diego in 2007. Her thesis work focused on the challenges associated
with distributed application management and visualization,
particularly in applications running on multiple machines spread
around the world.
During her graduate career, Jeannie worked on several projects that
aimed to simplify application deployment on PlanetLab, including
Plush, Nebula, and SWORD. She is also part of the Experiment Workflow
and Services Working Group for GENI (Global Environment for Network
Innovations).
Jeannie is currently working on extending Plush to work in a variety
of distributed environments in addition to PlanetLab. She is also
interested in exploring some of the challenges associated with
application and resource management in sensor networks.
